Engineering statistics and probability

Introductory probability and distribution theory. Special distributions and some of their applications in engineering, science and technology. Estimation of parameters and tests of hypotheses and some of their applications. Introduction to the method of least squares and its application in regression. Probability distributions, time averages and ensemble averages, stochastic processes, cross-correlation and auto-correlation, spectral density.

Assessment

Examinations (1.5 hours): 90% * Other assessment: 10%
