Review of hardware and design techniques available for digital systems with emphasis on microcomputer-based applications. Computer system design and real-time operating systems. Study of the concepts of digital processing and filtering with relevant applications. A slightly modified outline will apply in 1994 for the subject and different prerequisites will apply on an interim basis (GEG3563).

Assessment

Examination: 30% * Laboratory examination: 50% * Design assignment: 20%
