The effect of including signal processing in process feedback control. Sampled data, zero order hold, z transformation, time and frequency response, digital signal processing and filtering techniques, IIR and FIR filters, DFT, FFT and convolution. Compensation and optimum control techniques. Selected topics from linear phase filtering, amplitude modulation, spectral shifter frequency sampling and quantisation effects.
