Review of the development of reliability of computer controlled application on industrial control systems with emphasis in hierarchical organisation and distributed computing to optimise reliability. Topics include industrial control systems, including fault tolerant systems; analog systems; DFT, FFT, convolution; compensation, optimum control; consolation; supervisory and direct computer control.
