Metallography of welding. Fracture mechanics. Non-destructive inspection. Corrosion kinetics and corrosion control. Oxidation and creep resistance. Adhesives and composite materials. Quantitative methods of materials selection.

Assessment

Examinations (3 hours): 60% * Laboratory work/assignment: 40%
