Transformers: modelling for two and three windings, polyphase, Scott and Le Blanc connections, voltage regulation, parallel operation and load sharing, harmonics, sequence networks. Induction machine: analysis of machine performance based on equivalent circuits and circle diagram. Speed control, starting and protection. Synchronous machine: two-axis models, torque and power characteristics, performance diagrams, transient behaviour, stability under dynamic and steady state conditions.

Assessment
