Industrial project 1I

2 points * 26 hours project work * First semester * Caulfield * Corequisite: At least 12 credit points in other level-3 subjects

A nominal two hours per week to undertake an investigation into an industrial problem. The investigation may be industry based. Students will work singly or in groups depending upon the complexity of the project undertaken. The investigation may be based upon studies in an external business supported by an appropriate literature survey. Emphasis will be given to development of project management skills such as planning, goal setting and scheduling utilising industrial engineering skills.
