Organisation performance: organisational behaviour, interpersonal interaction; measures of performance and factors which affect performance. Engineering economy: project selection; costing concepts, DCF, other evaluation methods; value analysis. Communication skills. Quality: competitive advantage; TQM - management and employee commitment; supplier integration. Product innovation: the process of invention innovation, diffusion. Product lifecycles. Relevance of market research and marketing. Product failure and lessons they teach. Environmental safety and legal aspects.

Assessment

Assignments: 30% * Examination (3 hours): 70%
