Introduction to electromagnetic fields: electrostatics, magnetostatics, electrodynamics, Maxwell's equations. Propagating fields: planewave propagation, generalised transmission lines, the Smith chart and its usage, free space electromagnetic propagation and antennas, waveguides and fibre optics.
