Magnetic circuits. Transformer principles and equivalent circuits. Performance and testing of 1-phase transformers. Energy conversion methods. Principles of electromechanical energy conversion. Performance and control of DC machines. Principles of 3-phase AC machines. Introduction to 3-phase induction motors.

Assessment

Examinations (3 hours): 80% * Practical work/Laboratory work: 20%
