Insulation structure and design criteria of power transformer, generator, motor, cable and breaker. Electrostatic fields and field stress control. Applied insulation materials. Electrical breakdown in gas, solid and liquid. AC, DC and impulse voltage tests. Non-destructive insulation test techniques. Insulation condition monitoring of power equipment. Partial discharge measurements.

Assessment

Two-hour examination: 60% * Assignments: 20% * Laboratory work: 20%
