Power systems computations

Power system modelling. Steady-state calculations in power systems, loadflow analysis, optimal loadflow, fault analysis. Economic dispatch. Transient stability analysis of multi-machine systems, time simulation, direct assessment of transient stability. Dynamic stability analysis, eigenvalue analysis. Analysis of electromagnetic transients, travelling wave analysis, time domain simulation, frequency domain simulation. Analysis of harmonic propagation.

Assessment

Examination (2 hours): 70% * Written assessment: 30%
