6 points * Irregular availability * Clayton
Introductory topics include MOS devices and modelling; nMOS fabrication processing and design rules, subsystem layout and design; scaling; PLAs, memory and regular, structured design; CAD tools, system timing and architecture. More advanced topics are CMOS fabrication and design, design for testability, silicon compilers and custom design tool kits, fault tolerance and self-timed system design. All students will complete a design project in CMOS.
