This subject is intended primarily for the honours degree: a weighted average of at least 65 per cent up to and including level three is prerequisite. Comprising one-quarter of the level-four course, this subject is a challenging opportunity to pursue independently an individual experimental project and is likely to require extended effort. It normally includes a preparatory literature survey and developmental work such as design, construction and programming.
