Power electronics applications

Switched-mode power supplies, uninterruptable power supplies, resonant-link converter systems. Advanced PWM and optimal modulation strategies, harmonic considerations. Device rating calculations, thermal considerations, modelling for simulation. Implementation of converter control using digital logic and microprocessors. Selected industrial applications.

Assessment

Written: 15% * Examinations (2 hours): 70% * Laboratory work: 15%
