Advanced power systems

Advanced load flow techniques, state estimation, economic dispatch, unit commitment. Voltage profile and reactive power flow control. Advanced transient stability, including analysis of multibus systems and extended plant models. Steady state stability of interconnected systems. Distribution system planning and automation, load forecasting. Cogeneration and distributed generation.

Assessment

Examinations (2 hours): 70% * Assignments: 30%
