This subject aims to develop an understanding of interactive computer graphics systems and covers the following main aspects: hardware, software, data structures, mathematical manipulation of graphical objects, the user interface, the fundamental aspects of the design of relevant algorithms and applications. The following topics are included: point and line-based graphics; homogeneous coordinate systems; 2D transforms; convex hulls; spanning trees; 3D graphics; hidden lines and surfaces; shading; solid geometry modelling; animation; CAD/CAM systems; vector and raster technology; specialised computational support.
