Engineering computing

This subject instructs engineering students in the methodology of problem solving with computers and provides an introduction to the underlying organisation of the components of a computing machine. The emphasis is on acquiring programming skills in the Pascal language and the exercising of such skills in various engineering application areas. A structured programming approach will be adhered to in presenting the material. No previous computing experience will be assumed even though it would be of advantage to students.
