Open channel flow, uniform channels, water surface profiles. Flow measurement; natural and artificial open channels, closed conduits. River routing; one and two dimensional flows. Hydraulic design; spillways, energy dissipators, culverts, pipe systems, water hammer and surge analysis. Sediment transport and river engineering.
