Design of unrestrained beams; design of columns in braced and unbraced frames; interaction of axial load and bending; design of beam columns; overall and local buckling; effective width concepts; plates in compression; webs in shear; design of plate girders; stiffeners; cold formed sections; design of portal frames; building frame systems; estimation of dead connections.
