Civil engineering computing

This subject is intended to (i) significantly develop a student's competence in the use of spreadsheets in civil engineering, (ii) further develop skills in Pascal programming, (iii) introduce a range of PC software packages including word processing, graphics, hypertext, symbolic mathematics, databases, expert systems, e-mail, telnet, ftp, and (iv) further develop skills and understanding in the use of Microsoft Windows and DOS in a networked environment.

Assessment

Examinations (3 hours): 50% * Assignments: 50%
