Chemistry electives

4 points * 4 hours per week * Second semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: CHM1710 and CHM1722

The subject consists of a minimum of twenty-eight lectures in total, to be chosen from a number of subjects such as heavy metals in the environment; environmental chemistry; chemistry and energy; precious and rare metals; chemical analysis; industrial chemistry; technical assessment and project evaluation; aquatic chemistry. The offering may change from year to year and the available electives will be made known at the time of pre-enrolment. This elective subject is designed to allow the student to select chemistry subjects of interest, in order to further develop and extend knowledge of the concepts of modern chemistry in directions appropriate to chemical engineers.

Examinations (3 hours): 100%
