Chemistry III

6 points * 6 hours per week * First semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: CHM1710 and CHM1722

This subjects consists of organic chemistry (13 lectures), surfaces and polymers (13 lectures) and electrochemistry (6 lectures). The lectures are designed to develop and extend knowledge of the concepts of modern chemistry in directions appropriate to chemical engineers. The associated practical course consists of five hours of laboratory work per week for seven weeks. For timetable reasons, it is difficult to get common times for tutorials and so these are arranged by individual lecturers. On average, one hour per week could be taken up with tutorials and consultations with lecturers. The arrangements for tutorials and laboratory classes will be made known in the first lecture of the subject.
