3 points * 24 lectures and tutorials * Clayton * Prerequisites: MAT3910, MAT3930
This subject will use selected published papers to illustrate how analytical and numerical techniques have been applied to solve problems in the chemical processing industry. Some of the following topics will be discussed: optimisation methods, numerical methods for partial differential equations, non-linear dynamics, data analysis, analysis of special equations. Other topics may be added depending on staff and student interest.
