Objectives The student is expected to acquire basic knowledge and understanding of the techniques of quality management; ethics of the profession; the techniques of management of safety, loss prevention and environmental measures; the legal aspects of the profession, especially those of personal and corporate liability, patents and regulatory controls; industrial relations.

Synopsis Safety management; environmental management; legal aspects of the profession; ethics; industrial relations and workplace design; quality management.

Assessment

Examinations: 80% * Assignments: 20%
