Objectives The student is expected to acquire a basic knowledge and understanding of the cost factors which are involved in the estimation of the economic feasibility of new plant construction or of plant modification.

Synopsis Market analysis and forecasting; estimation of capital and operating costs; evaluation of project profitability; process technology and industry characteristics; project scheduling; project cost control.
