This course is designed to develop knowledge, skills and uses of computers in education to establish a practising teacher as a proficient user of computers in education and as a leader in the school community for the uses of and the management of computers in education. The course is offered by distance education and initially over a minimum of two years. Prospective students must have access to a computer and should be able to access a modem.

Course structure

The part-time course consists of the following eight subjects:

*nbsp;/ /g GEC8613 Computer programming for education

*nbsp;/ /g GEC8614 Evaluation of educational software

*nbsp;/ /g GEC8615 Technology in society

*nbsp;/ /g GEC8616 Computer use in educational management

*nbsp;/ /g GEC8617 Computers in education project

*nbsp;/ /g GEC8618 Facilitating computers in education
