The Bachelor of Education (School Librarianship) caters for two major categories of students: qualified teachers wishing to become librarians, and those wishing to upgrade or to obtain a further qualification. A Diploma of Teaching or its equivalent is required for entry. The course has been accredited by the Australian Library and Information Association.

Subjects GEC7280 and GEC7290 are compulsory for all students and no student will be able to complete the qualification without having met the requirements. Students will be required to undertake ten different professional activities for subject GEC7280 and twenty days of supervised practical experience for subject GEC7290 in a library staffed by a trained, experienced librarians approved by the campus's librarianship staff. *Those students requiring other professional or general studies subjects to complete their courses should take these subjects concurrently with school librarianship subjects.
