Gender issues in mathematics, science and technology education

The subject focuses on gender issues in mathematics, science and technology education. Topics covered include delineation of the problem from a historical as well as a contemporary perspective, an examination of contributing factors (situational, personal and school related), and explorations of possible intervention strategies. Australian and international data will be presented. Students are encouraged to explore in depth at least one issue of particular interest or relevance to them.
