The academically gifted child: problems and issues

This subject examines theoretical issues and practical developments in the education of gifted and talented students. Specialised interests of participants will be incorporated where possible. Topics covered will include identification procedures, programming options currently available both in Australia and in other countries, and the problems of able, underachieving students. Attention will also be focused on the special problems faced by girls.
