Studies in educational policy and administration: educational institutions
Dr T Seddon and Dr P Gronn
Second semester * Clayton * Distance
This subject deals especially with social, political and administrative theory in education. These theories are applied to the analysis of educational institutions and their management. Various assumptions about society and the nature of educational management, particularly at the institutional level, will be identified and examined. This scrutiny of perspectives on education and society will lead students into a consideration of significant developments in the field of educational administration theory. Students will be expected to consider various theoretical concepts and issues in the light of their own institutional practice.
