Associate Professor N King and Dr A P Greenway

First semester * Clayton * Prerequisites: Satisfactory performance in relevant theoretical units * Quota: 20

Entry to this subject will be based on academic performance in three of the prerequisite subjects (GED1825 to 1828, 1831 to 1833), plus personal suitability to undertake clinical placement under the supervision of members of the faculty staff in psychology. Successful completion of the prerequisite subjects does not automatically guarantee entry to this practica subject. The practicum is designed to develop a range of professional skills and to acquaint students with issues of professional ethics and practice in psychology. Students will be required to spend up to four days per week during the November - October period on placement. Total days on placement must be at least 120 over the two placements. Weekly meetings with university supervisors are required.
