This subject focuses on several areas of exceptionality involving the education and learning experiences of preschool and school-age children and adults. It is based on an understanding of normal intellectual, social, emotional and physical development. Opportunities will be provided for in-depth study of selected topics. Students will be required to read widely and to participate in regular lecture-discussions and practical sessions.
