Curriculum studies: English secondary I

The subject is designed to assist students to develop skills in curriculum development in English education. Attention is given to the place and history of English education in the secondary curriculum; current developments and trends in English education; teaching strategies and procedures; understandings, values and skills in English education (reading, writing, speaking and listening); the development, location and evaluation of curriculum resources; and evaluation and assessment in English education. Emphasis is given to the Australian and Victorian contexts. Distance education students receive study guides and written course materials.
