This subject aims to prepare the student to teach Year 11 and Year 12 mathematics. Topics to be covered include (1) VCAB Group 1 Maths A and B; (2) VCAB Group 2 Business Maths, Commercial Maths, Maths at Work; (3) available texts and resources; (4) assessing years 11 and 12; (5) methods of teaching; (6) preparation of courses, subjects and lessons; (7) the Victorian Certificate of Education; (8) professional responsibilities. The subject is taught by lectures, discussions and workshops. Students may be required to obtain various course outlines.
