Computers in education

Subject value 1.0 * 3 hours per weekend school * Second semester * Gippsland/Distance * Prerequisites: DipT or GradDipEd or BTeach

The effect of teaching about and with computers on the content and processes of learning in schools. Uses of computers in education. Integration of computers into the curricula. Evaluation of software. Information processing, word processing and programming skills needed for use of computers in education. Social and educational implications of computers. The subject is taught by study guides, workshops and practical work at weekend schools.

Assessment

Three assignments: 30%, 30%, 40%
