Curriculum studies: advanced teaching studies mathematics (primary)

Subject value 1.0 * 2 hours per weekend school and 2 hours per vacation school * Second semester * Gippsland/Distance * Prerequisites: DipT or GradDipEd or BTeach
This subject centres around a contract task involving the completion of a project on a mathematics teaching area of the student's choice. The project will be based on day-to-day teaching, show evidence of depth of reading and research, and allow children to pursue active learning based on the use of concrete materials. The subject is taught by workshops and tutorials.
Assessment
Four assignments: 80% * Major research task: 20%
