This subject aims to involve students in critically analysing formal education in Australia from a number of perspectives. Topics covered will include an analysis of classroom management; teacher expectations; classroom knowledge; styles of teaching; evaluation of students; school-community relationships; teaching as a career. The subject is taught by readings, lectures, tutorials and study guides.
