Curriculum development

Subject value 1.0 * Full-year subject * Gippsland/Distance * Prerequisites: GEC2011 (for Diploma of Teaching or Bachelor of Education)
The subject will focus on the theory and practice of school-based curriculum development, including an introduction to curriculum evaluation. Current issues such as innovation in education in Victoria and the National Curriculum and competency-based education will be examined. The subject is taught by study guides and selected and recommended readings.
Assessment
Two assignments equally weighted: 60% * One project: 40%
