Dance in education

This subject introduces students to the rationale of education through the arts and the place of dance in arts education. Content includes learning in the arts - perceiving, transforming, appreciating and expressing; learning in dance - dance skills, dance making, and dance perspective; the place of arts subjects in the school curriculum - how does dance fit in?; devising dance lessons, dance units and dance courses; practical experience in educational dance.
