The primary focus of this subject is an assessment of the child for the purpose of instructional planning. There will also be a concern with suspected developmental delay and curriculum planning for appropriate intervention in the home, preschool and school settings. All areas of the development of the child will be studied: the cognitive, communicative, personal/social and behavioural. The family context will also be considered.
