Studies in teaching 7: field studies

3 hours per week * Second semester * Peninsula

The subject aims to help students gain an understanding of the role of research in education. The subject's objectives are to give students an understanding of (i) the types of research and research design, (ii) ways of identifying and selecting research problems, (iii) test and research instrument selection, (iv) basic statistical procedures, and (v) methods of critically reviewing the research literature in education.

Assessment

Written: 40% * Class test: 20% * Seminar presentation: 40%
