Health education

3 hours per week * Second semester * Peninsula

Many misunderstandings surface when the concepts of health and health education are discussed. This subject will examine these concepts focusing on the primary school situation. Consideration will be given to past, present and future directions of school health education. Approaches to dealing with controversial topics such as drug education and sexuality education will be highlighted. Resources available to health education will be presented and discussed.
