Students will be required to select one or more disciplines from those offered in the subject and produce a folio of artworks. Emphasis will be placed on developing mature skills, self direction and critical inquiry in the chosen areas of study. Students will be expected to continue to develop drawing and design expertise, including computer skills. The subject will include the critical analysis of art theory and practice through lectures and seminars, excursions to galleries, schools and regional centres, leading to the development of a specialist art curriculum.
