Mathematics education 3

2 hours per week * First semester * Peninsula * Prerequisites: EDN1375

Areas of study include an analysis of computational errors and related remedial measures, gender issues, the application to technology, non-metric geometry, and a range of measurement topics. Development of an appreciation of the measurements and their derivations which are associated with two and three dimensional objects. The place that games have in the mathematics classroom and the application that mathematics has in the real world will be explored.

Assessment

Written: 30% * Examinations: 70%
