Teaching studies 5 (primary)

2 hours per week * First semester * Peninsula * Prerequisites: EDN2095 and EDN2105

The subject is divided into two strands and follows the theme of school management and pupil evaluation. Strand `A' provides students with the opportunity to undertake increasingly complex teaching and class management tasks within senior-level primary grades. The context of practice teaching will include registered, rural and overseas schools in addition to Ministry metropolitan schools. Strand `B' aims to prepare students in a practical way to achieve basic mastery of the curriculum decision-making process as it operates currently in Victorian schools and more specifically the curriculum decision-making component of the internship to be encountered in the fourth year of study.

Examinations: 52% * Practical work: 48%
