Music studies 5

3 hours per week * First semester * Peninsula * Prerequisites: EDN2285 and EDN2295

(1) Lectures: Unit 3 - Choral music. A survey of the main forms, styles and repertoires from the Middle Ages to the present; Unit 4 - Symphonic music I. A survey of the beginnings of orchestral forms, styles and repertoire of programmatic symphonic music. (2) Creative workshop: practically oriented course designed to develop more advanced listening and creative skills linked with the content of the lectures. (3) Choral workshop: as for EDN2285.

Assessment

Examination: 40% * Practical work: 30% * Folio: 30%
