Environmental science 1: introduction to studies of the natural environment

3 hours per week * First semester * Peninsula

The study of environment problems is introduced and the scope and limitations of the human senses are examined in the laboratory. Some techniques for measuring environmental variables in the laboratory and field are applied to the study of selected environmental problems. The study of ecosystems is commenced and the major groups of Australian plants and animals are examined.
