Human biology 2: the human organism II

3 hours per week * Second semester * Peninsula

This subject continues the development of understanding of the structure and function of the human body in health and disease. The subject aims to develop students' understanding of human reproduction and the body systems involved in human responsiveness and regulation of body functions. The topics include male and female reproductive systems, conception and contraception, pregnancy, the nervous system, special senses, and the endocrine system. The subject also introduces students to some important diseases of the body systems, examined with a particular emphasis on personal health issues.

Assessment

Assignment: 20% * Practical work: 30% * Examinations: 50%
