Textbooks and notes
For all subjects offered by the faculty, teaching staff are expected to
issue at the commencement of classes a written statement which details the
syllabus, the method of assessment, recommended textbooks and, where
appropriate, reference material. Where suitable texts are not available,
students will be provided with printed notes, and where the notes are
extensive, there may be a charge. Departments make arrangements in advance with
the university bookshops to stock recommended texts. For some subjects, where
the content is relatively static, it has been possible to list texts and the
form of assessment in this handbook.
